2016 Third Generation Chardonnay $25


The vineyard provided some exceptional fruit in 2016, with which Jacob has produced a modern and fresh style of Chardonnay using fruit from numerous vineyards across the Mudgee region, including Rylstone.

A combination of traditional tank fermentation with high lees contact was used for 80% of the wine while the remainder was barrel fermented in older French hogsheads using a combination of wild and cultured yeasts with partial malolactic fermentation. This has resulted in aromas of grapefruit, peach and citrus with a clean crisp finish.
